Framework is the next step up from Foundation, built on the same idea, but with a little more fruit, more complexity and a bit more lift in the cup.

The base of the blend comes from the same two washed coffees we use in Foundation. Baroida Estate from Papua New Guinea brings sweetness, body and structure. La Orquídea from Tolima, Colombia adds balance, soft fruit and a clean chocolatey backbone. Both are sourced through Sucafina and both do the steady, important work of making the blend feel complete.

From there, we add Shentawene G2 Natural from Ethiopia, sourced through Café Imports. This is the part of the blend that gives Framework its more expressive edge. It brings the stewed fruit, apricot and aromatic sweetness, modern but recognisably classic and every bit  suited to being and all day, everyday blend.

That's the point of Framework. Familiar, easy to drink and still very good with milk, but it has a little more going on than Foundation. Levels of complexity, built on our foundation.

What do these numbers mean?

FOB is the price paid for the coffee before shipping, insurance and local costs.

Our landed cost is what the coffee cost us by the time it reached the roastery.

Neither number is the farmer’s final income, and landed cost is not our total cost to roast and sell the coffee, but it gives a clearer picture of the economic impact of our business.
