Ethiopia - Banko Gotiti - Natural Special Prep
This years slew of incredible Ethiopian coffees continues with the first of our "Special Prep" coffees for 2025. The coffee from Dwancho that went into our Christmas blend last year was potentially the best coffee we bought all year, so this year we've doubled down on "Special Prep" lots as the quality can be truly incredible.
The Banko Gotiti co-op consists of around three hundred members who, like most Ethiopian farmers, grow their crops on small parcels of land and bring the cherries to a central processing station. For "Special Prep" lots, only the very best cherry is selected and the lot is washed, fermented and dried separately from start to end. This natural exceeds in many of the characters we like in Ethiopian lots. Huge, ripe sweetness and fermenty acidity with a coating, syrup body the excellent natural processing boost all of what is good about this lot.
