We don't purchase much coffee from Mexico but when Mark from Caravela reached out about the lots they had on offer, he was convinced we'd like them. We cupped through and found an absolute gem with this lot from El Disthe Women's groups. The coffee has a great acidity and sweetness which provides ample balance for the rich brown sugar character. The balance and texture here remind us of chocolate.

Coffee's from central America are generally used as filler in blends because they can provide a good "base" flavour for other coffees to build on. It's always a treat to have excellent coffees from these regions, as a means to showcase the potential quality of cup that can be produced there.
