Washed process Ethiopian coffees deliver so much of what we love in the cup. This single farmer lot, purchased through Café Imports is a great example of exactly why. Often, being a 'typical' coffee for a region may be considered negative, but when you're in Yirgacheffe, that's good news. Tadese's coffee has plenty of great stone fruit flavour, paired with an unmistakable orangey acidity and a beautiful bouquet. It's what we'd expect from one of the most highly regarded producing regions in the world and we're all the better for it.

Tadese produces coffee that normally is blended at the Halo Beriti Washing Station. However, due to it's excellent quality, this year his coffee has been selected for the 'Single Farmer' project run by Café Imports. The project pays more to producers that can provide exceptional coffee to the mill, who'll seperate their lots for export. Our buying this year includes a number of these coffees and we're lucky to have such a high quality selection available to us.
