Last year we bought our first lot from the Kirorero Station, the Remera Natural. It won us over immediately and made it's way into both our Christmas blend and our single origin lineup. When we had the opportunity to cup more lots for this year a couple of washed process coffees stood out for their excellent cup structure and fruitiness.

The Buhoro lot is exceptional and at a quality level comparable to Kenyan and Colombian coffees. We find lots of dried fruit and sweetness, with a pleasant and crisp citrus acidity. All of this is balanced with an elegant structure that's bitterness reminds us of high quality tea. It's all round a very enjoyable coffee and a testament to the excellent work of COOPAC and their farmers and processing on the shores of Lake Kivu.
